Medicare for All Fireside Chat in With menominee Dems

Spies Public Library
940 1st St., Menominee, MI 49858

The Menominee County Democratic Party invites community members of all perspectives to attend its next Fireside Chat exploring the topic of Medicare for All.

Americans pay more for health care than residents of any other industrialized nation, yet many families continue to struggle with access and affordability. Across our region, people know someone — a parent, neighbor, or coworker — who has delayed care, skipped a prescription, or faced financial hardship due to medical costs. Medical debt remains a pressing concern for households and small businesses alike.

This conversation is designed to move beyond headlines and political soundbites. Kyle Blomquist will provide a clear overview of what Medicare for All is, what it is not, and how it compares to other approaches being discussed nationally. He will also address what reforms could mean for individuals, employers, and rural communities like ours.

Medicare for All may or may not ultimately be the solution — but understanding it can serve as a starting point for working together as a country to confront the health care crisis and explore sustainable paths forward.

The presentation will be followed by an open question-and-answer period. Participation norms will be observed to ensure a respectful, welcoming space where diverse viewpoints can be shared.

Listen. Learn. Share. Come curious — and leave more informed.

The event is free and open to the public. In addition, it will be streamed via the Menominee Democratic Party's Facebook page, and a link to the recording will be posted on the Menominee County Democratic Party's website afterward.
